Abi Thompson earned her first career start for Asbury University this week and did not disappoint, recording six innings of shutout softball against Sewanee University. In the start, Thompson allowed just four hits while striking out four batters to secure the 8-0 victory. Prior to her start, she also came in and closed the first game of the double-header with two innings of scoreless softball to help Asbury win game one 8-1. With the two wins this week, Asbury is now 9-1 on the year overall.
