Despite going 1-3 to start the year in a difficult Onset Tournament against top NAIA competition, Kennedy Bowling of Ohio Christian University recorded an outstanding start to her senior campaign. The native of Portsmouth, Ohio recorded 49 total kills with a career high 20 kills in the season opener against the University of Saint Francis (Ind.). Bowling was efficient with a .297 hitting percentage, and she added 11 blocks on the defensive end to tie for the team lead. Bowling recorded double-digit kills in three of the team’s four matches and hit a dominant .391 in the team’s victory over West Virginia University Institute of Technology.
