Deniz Yileri did everything for Wayland Baptist University in the team’s season opening four-match tournament. The senior from Adana, Turkey recorded three double-doubles highlighted by a 12 kill and 21 dig performance against Texas A&M – Texarkana University. Yileri added 13 kills and 10 digs in an upset victory over NAIA (12) Oklahoma Wesleyan University. On the weekend, Yileri totaled 52 kills and 52 digs while playing all six rotations for the Pioneers to lead the team in both categories.
