Abbygale King led Spurgeon College at the Spire Sunset Showdown, recording the fastest time among the Knight’s runners in the 5,000-meter race. The senior from Belmont, North Carolina ran a mark of 26:22.7 to finish 59thindividually. The time gives her an average mile pace of 8:29.3 as Spurgeon completed their first race of 2026 in just their third season of having a women’s cross country program.
