Emberlynn Nolt won the Hamilton College Short Course event for Houghton University with a 4,000-meter time of 14:52.8. The junior from Dalton, Ohio set a new personal best and marks her first collegiate race victory. Nolt finished 32 seconds ahead of the next best Houghton runner to lead her team to a third place finish out of 11 total competitors. Houghton competed primarily against NCAA Division III conference opponents this week and was the top team finisher out of the Empire 8 Conference.
