Field: John Adams, junior from Brandon, MS, opened the 2014 Outdoor Track & Field season with a win in the discus throw, setting a personal best with a mark of 45.01m. That would rank 1st in the NCCAA this season, and he beat out 22 other competitors at the meet. He also finished 3rd in the hammer throw at 34.14m, a distance that would also rank 1st in the NCCAA this season.
