Rupia Inck, senior outside hitter from Uberaba, Brazil, helped Fresno Pacific University become the first team since 2010 to defeat four-time defending PacWest champion BYU Hawaii on its home court. Inck totaled 50 kills, 32 digs and six service aces as FPU became the first team this year to return from its Hawaii road trip with an undefeated 3-0 mark, handing BYUH its first conference loss in more than a year. Inck had a team-high 19 kills to go with 11 digs in the win over BYUH. In the decisive fifth set, she served six-straight points, including three service aces, as FPU jumped out to a 7-0 lead. She then added three kills during FPU's final four points in the victory. Earlier in the trip she had 20 kills and 15 digs in FPU's 3-2 win over Hawaii Hilo and 11 kills in the team's win over Chaminade.
