Raegan Ryan, senior guard from Canisteo, NY, sent the game into overtime with a long buzzer beater and finished with 43 points to lead Cedarville to a pulsating 98-91 non-conference victory at Urbana. The Lady Jackets extended their winning streak to seven in a row. Urbana, 1-7, was shooting lights out during regulation and appeared to be in good shape with a 67-51 lead with 8:03 to go. However, Ryan scored nine points during a 12-0 run to get the visiting Jackets right back in it. The host Blue Knights converted two free throws with four seconds remaining for an 82-79 advantage. CU quickly got the ball to Ryan who drilled a 35-footer to send the thriller into the extra session. In overtime, Deborah Gordon broke an 86-86 deadlock with a jumper at the 2:30 mark to give the Lady Jackets the lead for good. Ryan followed with a three-pointer to push the spread to five. In addition to her career-high 43 points, Ryan contributed seven rebounds, four steals, and three assists. Her 43 points also set a new record for the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.
