Damontre Harris, senior forward from Fayetteville, NC, covered the stat sheet in a pair of Campbellsville wins last week as he averaged 12.5 points, 17.5 rebounds, eight blocks and four steals per game as the No. 1-ranked Tigers moved to 19-1 overall and a perfect 6-0 in the Mid-South Conference. Harris opened the week with a double-double -- 14 points and 16 rebounds -- in the Tigers' 82-64 win over visiting Fisk University (Tenn.) on Monday Jan. 12. He chipped in five blocks, three steals and a pair of assists in the win. On Thursday, Harris recorded the first triple-double of the season in the NAIA and first-ever in the Campbellsville men's basketball program, in an 83-72 come-from-behind win over Life University (Ga.). He finished the game scoring 11 points while posting career-highs with 19 rebounds and 11 blocks. Harris helped the Tigers remain perfect in the Mid-South (6-0) as Campbellsville rallied from a 13-point deficit to win by 11 over the Running Eagles. Harris leads all four-year NAIA and NCAA players with 73 total blocks and 3.8 blocks per game. He ranks second in the MSC and seventh nationally, averaging 10.1 rebounds per outing. He is also second in the conference with his 10 double-doubles.
