Bryant Keirns, junior from Wichita, KS, had a monumental indoor track season-opening meet in the Missouri Southern Indoor Invitational. He took top honors in a competitive 3,000-meter race with a time of 8:50.87, winning by more than nine seconds, as well as posting a career-best time in the mile with a time of 4:24.58 to take third place in a 35-man field. In the latter race, he also helped pull along his teammates, as four other OC runners also met the NCCAA indoor qualifying standard.
