Kevin Smith, freshman from Battle Creek, MI, took home the top spot in the men's long jump with a leap of 6.91 meters (22-8.00). His jump not only broke the Aquinas Cook Track record, but shattered the Spring Arbor University all-time best mark of 22-6.50 established by Don Mercer in 1980 and matched by Lee Rogers in 1985. Smith helped lead Spring Arbor to a second place team finish out of the four teams competing.
