Jerry Terrill received his Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Technology from Illinois State University and his Masters of Education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in Coaching and Physical Education. Terrill began his teaching and coaching career in 1968 on the Junior High level in Morton, Illinois, then as a High School principal and coach and finally going to Maranatha Baptist Bible College, Watertown, Wisconsin in 1979. There, he assumed teaching, coaching and various other responsibilities, and remained until his retirement in 2004. During his coaching career, Coach Terrill has both preached and practiced his theme verse, I Peter 2:15. He has instilled in his players that regardless of the outcome of any game or circumstance in life, you must always seek to do right, and by so doing, God will be honored and men will be changed. Thought his coaching, testimony and personal interest in the lives of students, hundreds have been influenced throughout his career at MBBC. Coach Terrill has served the NCCAA as Midwest Region Vice-Chair and Chair and as the Regional Division II Men’s Basketball Chair. One of his many career highlights was coaching the 1990 NCCAA Division II Men’s Basketball National Championship team. However, seeing Christ in the harvest field will always remain his single most important career achievement. Jerry and his wife, Donna, have three children and seven grandchildren. He is a devoted husband, father and grandfather and loves to spend time with his family. The Terrill’s are also actively involved in their local church ministry.
