David Ribbens – has been involved with the NCCAA since 1984, serving in such positions as District IV Chairman, Member of the Board of Directors, Association President, Men’s Soccer National Vice Chair and Chair, and North Central Regional Chair. Since 1979, Ribbens has been active in the Athletic Department at member school Trinity Christian College serving throughout the years in such postiitons as Physical education Department Chairperson, Assistant Professor, Instructor, Assistant Instructor, Intramural director, Athletic Director, Assistant Athletic Director, Soccer Coach, Assistant Soccer Coach, Softball Coach, and Women’s Basketball Coach. From 1979-84, he also coached Varsity Basketball and Softball for Chicago Christian School. Ribbens served for five years with the NAIA as an Executive Committee Member and Soccer Chairperson. Throughout the years, Ribbens has received various honors for his athletic and coaching ability. During his college years at Calvin College, Ribbens was Captain of the Men’s Soccer Team and was named as an All-MIAA Conference Soccer Player. In 1979, he was signed to a free agent trial with the Chicago Sting. Since then, he has been named CCAC Soccer Coach of the Year, NAIA District 20 Administrator of the Year, and NCCAA District IV Women’s Basketball Coach of the Year and Men’s Soccer Coach of the Year. He enjoys community service and has helped with Contemporary Service, Chicago, the Legacy Tour, Missionary Athletes International, and the American Coaching Effectiveness Program.
