Dr. John Bratcher is completing his eighth year at Lee College where his is presently the mean’s and women’s head soccer coach, assistant athletic director and an associate professor of physical education. He was President of the NCCAA in 1993-95 and served on the Board of Directors from 1989 tom1997. Prior to his coaching and teaching at Lee College, Bratcher was an associate professor of physical education at Grand Rapids Baptist College (presently Cornerstone College) for 11 years. He also coached wresting for (two years), track and field (four years), and soccer (eight years), in addition to having the responsibility of athletics director for four years. Bratcher graduated from Grace College in 1973 with a major in physical education and health. His master’s degree was completed in physical education, health and recreation at St. Francis College (IN). He obtained his doctorate in physical education from Middle Tennessee State University. Coach Bratcher’s 16-year school record as men’s soccer coach at the collegiate level is 234 wins, 96 losses and 21 ties. He was named NCCAA National Soccer Coach of the Year in 1982 and 1985. His men’s soccer teams have participated in 11 NCCAA National Tournaments and he has been named NCCAA District Coach of the Year on 10 occasions. He has coached over 20 NCCAA All-Americans. Bratcher has coordinated seven overseas missions trips in soccer. He has a U. S. National Soccer Diploma and a Brazilian National Soccer License.
