Tom Fink is in his 14th year at Philadelphia College of Bible (PCB) where he serves as Associate Professor of Social Sciences and the men’s soccer head coach. Tom Fink is a graduate of PCB and Temple University. He served as a youth pastor, camp director and missionary before returning PCB. In addition to teaching and coaching at the college, he has served and/or chaired several faculty committees. He is also involved in a preaching ministry as well as independent consulting for businesses and ministries in the area of team building. Prior to becoming the head soccer coach at PCB, Fink enjoyed a long and varied athletic career, lettering in soccer, basketball and baseball as an undergraduate. Following graduation, Coach Fink continued to participate in athletics, playing in numerous adult leagues. In an attempt to stay connected to the games he loved, he became in officiating high school and college sports. Fink quickly rose through the ranks of college soccer officials and was honored to officiate in several NCCAA national playoff games. In addition, he was named to the NIOSA national board for referee education and development. In 1982 Fink was invited to join faculty of PCB and given the position of men’s head soccer coach. Over the last 14 years, Coach Fink’s soccer teams have compiled a 178-72-22 record and won the first six NCCAA Soccer II National Championships. From 1984 through 1988 his teams went 69-5-6 while going undefeated for 56 consecutive games against Division II opponents. Early in his tenure at PCB, Fink attended the national convention of the NCCAA. Finding that he shared a vision with the national organization, Coach Fink committed himself to working for the continued development of soccer within the NCCAA. Following the establishment of a Division II recognition for soccer, Coach Fink served as the first NCCAA National Soccer II chair, a position he held for 4 years. Fink is a past recipient of the NCCAA’s Meritorious Service award and a six time NCCAA Soccer Division II National Coach of the Year.
