Campbellsville University Wins 2017 Victory Bowl 11/18/2017 3:48:03 PM Campbellsville, KY: The Campbellsville University Tigers won their third (2010, 2011) NCCAA Victory Bowl™ on Saturday. The Tigers defeated Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) by the score of 41-28, as the teams battled through the wind. SAGU led 21-19 at the half, but Campbellsville’s defense only allowed 7 points in the second half. Campbellsville quarterback Hunter Brown finished the day 17-of-33 for 288 yards, 2 passing touchdowns, 2 interceptions, and 1 rushing touchdown. Chantz Goodman (86), Kendon Young (75), and Wade Holtsclaw (70) combined for 231 yards and 3 touchdowns on the ground for the Tigers. Zerric Willis had 6 receptions for a career-high 163 yards and 1 touchdown. Defensively for the Tigers, Garland Webb and Darius Moore each had 12 total tackles, while BJ Pelt and Deandre Hollis both intercepted a pass. For SAGU, CJ Collins was 29-of-53 for 340 yards with 3 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. JP Lowery rushed for 71 yards and 1 touchdown, while Ricky Bickham added 35 yards on the ground. Jeremy Carr caught 7 passes for 155 yards and 1 touchdown, while Bryant Dotson and Stephen Lawson each added a receiving touchdown for the Lions. Aidan Estrada led the Lions with 10 total tackles, while Maliek Golden and Elijah Pruitt each had an interception. The Most Outstanding Defensive Player was Garland Webb, while the Most Outstanding Offensive Player was Zerric Willis, both from Campbellsville University. See the full box score here.
