NCCAA Welcomes Chris Williams as New Staff Member 6/3/2022 11:09:17 AM Greenville, SC - The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) is pleased to announce Chris Williams as the Director of Championships. This new position, which starts on August 1, 2022, will create greater member benefit from national events; an enhanced experience for student-athletes, coaches, and fans; increased sponsorships; increased streaming audiences; and greater community awareness. “As we continue to develop member driven improvements within the association, the addition of Chris Williams as our Director of Championships will be a critical step in that process," said NCCAA Executive Director Dan Wood. "From student-athlete to athletic administrator, Chris’s relationship with the NCCAA is diverse, well-rounded, and one of his great passions in life. The vocational experience, mixed with the missional fit, makes this a win-win-win situation.” The NCCAA hosts 24 national championships and 2 national invitationals between 13 men's sports and 13 women's sports. Eighteen of these national events are streamed live on the NCCAA Network. Christian Service Projects (CSP's) are conducted at each national event, in which student-athletes and coaches give of their time and resources to those locally, nationally, and internationally. Chris Williams stated, "The NCCAA has been part of my athletic, academic, and spiritual journey for over 30 years. I'm grateful to Dan Wood, the NCCAA Board of Directors, and the membership for their faith in me for this opportunity to serve the NCCAA as the new Director of Championships. I'm excited to use my personal experiences as a student-athlete, coach, and athletic director to add value to our championship experiences, while remaining committed to the mission of the NCCAA and member institutions."
