Bob Jones University Claims Sixth Straight DII Women's Volleyball National Championship

Joplin, MO (11/18/23): Bob Jones University (BJU) won its sixth straight NCCAA DII Women’s Volleyball National Championship after defeating the No. 2 seed, Manhattan Christian College. The Bruins beat the Thunder 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-18) and were led by Victoria Glaze and Emily Lewis who each had 10 kills. Kiersten Hoopes finished with 33 assists, while Katelyn Landkrohn led the team in digs with 17.

The No. 1 seeded Bruins opened pool play with a 3-1 (25-10, 20-25, 25-18) win over No. 8 Calvary University. BJU then defeated No. 5 Grace Christian University 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-13). They concluded pool play undefeated with a 3-0 (27-25, 25-20, 25-21) win over No. 4 Randall University. In their semifinal matchup with No. 3 Arlington Baptist University, the Bruins needed four sets, winning 3-1 (24-26, 25-18, 26-24, 25-19).

Manhattan Christian's Liv Lubbers was named the Tournament Most Outstanding Player. The All-Tournament Team and other awards are listed here.
