Lead Changes Hands in Men’s and Women’s Golf National Championships Headed into the Final Day 10/21/2025 4:21:05 PM Palm Coast, FL – The 2025 Men’s and Women’s Golf Championships each saw the lead change hands on a hot and sunny day in Palm Coast, Florida at the Hammock Beach Resort Conservatory Golf Course. Cedarville University men’s golf would shoot an NCCAA National Championship course record, and school record, 281 (-7) as a team to take the top spot from two-time defending National Champion Wayland Baptist University. On the women’s side, Bethel University shot a 306 (+18) to take a 15-stroke lead over the University of Northwestern. The NCCAA Men’s and Women’s Golf National Championships will conclude tomorrow with a final round of 18. Play will begin at 7:45am with restructured pairings based off the first two rounds’ results. Men's Highlights: Aiden Hibbard led Cedarville University to their historic performance, tying a school record with a 66 (-6) to move to second in the individual standings. Hibbard birdied five of his last nine holes and led Cedarville to a 281 (-7) team score that breaks the NCCAA National Championship course record and the program record. Cedarville saw DJ Norman and Huston Ritter shoot 71 (-1) to join Hibbard under par. The Yellow Jackets saw 17 total birdies on the day to record a 588 after two rounds of play. Luke Hammond of Columbia International University had the best round of the day, and his career, with a 65 (-7) to hold a two-stroke lead for first on the individual leaderboard. The 65 also is an NCCAA National Championship individual round low since the tournament began in 1996. Hammond was consistent with seven birdies and 11 pars to lead the Rams. Columbia International finished the day with a 295 to sit in fourth as a team with a 602 (+26) score through 36-holes. Chilton Price of Arlington Baptist University shot a 73 (+1) to lead the medalist performers and move into a tie for 18thoverall. OUAZ also moved ahead of Wayland Baptist, shooting a 289 (+1) in round two to sit two strokes behind Cedarville for the lead. Grant Greazel recorded the best round for the Spirit of 70 (-2). All nine men’s programs recorded a better round on day two of the NCCAA Men’s Golf National Championship. The top three teams of Cedarville, OUAZ, and Wayland Baptist sit within five strokes of one another headed into the final day of play. Women's Highlights: Bethel University shot 19 strokes better on day two of the NCCAA Women’s Golf National Championship to take over first place with a score of 306 (+18). Selah Unwin led the way for the Pilots with an even par, recording four birdies on the day. Northwestern jumped into second in the team standings after a 313 (+25) round two performance. Morgan Eckman, who leads the field individually, shot one stroke better than yesterday with a 74 (+2) to hold a three-stroke lead for medalist honors. Selah Unwin, Izzy Aigner, and Ellie Webster of Bethel University all sit in the top five individually. Wayland Baptist University dropped two spots in the team standings after a 336 (+48) in round two. Medalist Liz Miller of Cedarville University sits in sixth place individually at +15 to lead all individuals who qualified for the NCCAA Women’s Golf National Championship. What’s Next? The final championship round will begin at 7:45 a.m. with split tee pairings based off the first two rounds’ results. The men will tee-off of hole 10 and the women will tee-off hole one.
