Pool play begins on Wednesday, November 19 at 9:30am CT and goes through Thursday, November 20. Semifinal matches will then be played on Friday, November 21, with the championship match set for Saturday, November 22 at 1:00pm CT. THE HISTORY This is the third straight year that Ozark Christian College and the Joplin Sports Authority will host the NCCAA DII Women's Volleyball National Championship. The national championship dates back to 1988 with Pacific Christian College, currently known as Hope International University, taking home the inaugural championship. Maranatha Baptist University, formerly known as Marantha Baptist Bible College, leads all current NCCAA schools with eight national championship wins, including four straight from 1989-1992, and three championship victories in a row from 2015-2017. Bob Jones University has won six national championships, winning all six in a row from 2018-2023. Clearwater Christian College holds the all-time DII Women's Volleyball National Championship record with 13 total, winning three in a row from 1995-1997 and eight in a row from 2006-2013. LAST YEAR Arlington Baptist University (ABU) ended the six-year national championship run for Bob Jones University, knocking off the Bruins in five sets in the national championship match. The Patriots took the long road to reach the finals, going 2-1 in Pool Play, falling to Pensacola Christian College 3-1 and defeating Faith Baptist Bible College 3-0 before surviving with a 3-2 win over Boyce College. ABU found their way into the semifinals by defeating Pensacola Christian 25-21 in the tiebreaker set before holding on to deafeat Manhattan Christian College 3-2 in the semifinal match. After going down 11-9 in the fifth set against the Bruins, the Pats rallied off six straight points to claim the victory and their first-ever NCCAA DII Women's Volleyball National Championship. Olivia Rau of Boyce College was named the Tournament's Most Outstanding Player.
