THE HISTORY
After a12 year hiatus, the NCCAA DII Baseball Invitational returned in 2025, the first DII Baseball Championship or Invitational of any kind for the NCCAA since 2013. During the first Invitational era from 1999-2006, Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College, now know as Randall University, won the first four invitational titles, before Mid-America Christian University won the event in 2004. Southeastern University won the last two Invitationals before the event moved to a championship in 2007, which was also won by the Fire. Toccoa Falls College won four of the last five NCCAA DII Baseball National Championships, before the Baseball World Series became a unidivision championship in 2014. Arlington Baptist won the renewed DII Baseball Invitational in 2025, going a perfect 4-0 in the tournament and winning the title on their own home field.

LAST YEAR
Completing an undefeated weekend, host Arlington Baptist University took home the first NCCAA Division II Baseball Invitational Championship to be crowned since 2006, and becomes the first NCCAA Division II Baseball team to hang a banner since 2013, defeating Trinity Baptist College 14-4.

The Patriots opened the weekend with Trinity Baptist on Thursday, February 13, scoring five runs in the bottom of the third inning off an error by the Eagles to win 6-5.On day two, ABU found themselves down 1-0 to Champion Christian College after the first inning, but RBI singles from Major Cantrell and Corbyn Torti put the Patriots ahead, and a solo shot in the fourth inning from Francisco Ochoa over the left field fence punctuated the win, 4-1. In their final game of pool play against top-seeded Southeastern Baptist College, it was a back-and-forth affair against the Chargers, before an RBI single from Layne Wilkerson and a pair of SBC errors put Arlington Baptist ahead 10-7 and on to the championship game.

In the championship game, Arlington Baptist scored five runs in the fifth and pulled away from Trinity Baptist, rolling to the 14-4 victory. Alex Aleman of Arlington Baptist University was named Tournament Most Outstanding Player.
