Greenville, SC – The NCCAA is pleased to recognize Skylin Boyd of Pensacola Christian College as the 2026 Dr. Marti MacCullough Award recipient for Division II Women’s Basketball.

37183Boyd is just a junior but has already recorded a prolific career at Pensacola Christian both on and off the court. The native of Birmingham, Alabama grew up in a Christian home as a pastor’s kid. From a young age, Boyd was involved in the church serving as a children’s Sunday school teacher as well as serving her community through different church sanctioned events. Since coming to Pensacola Christian, Boyd has not skipped a beat in serving the community. She is a student-leader on campus, a prayer leader for dorm prayer groups, a camp counselor at the Pensacola church camp, and continues to teach VBS and Sunday School. Boyd also serves as the primary athlete on campus to serve on the promotions team where she speaks to future students on recruit visits, a role that also includes serving as a mentor contact for introducing new potential athletes to the campus community.

On the court, Boyd has already recorded one of the best careers in Pensacola Christian program history. As a freshman, she was named to the South Region All-Freshman Team. As a sophomore, she was a 2025 NCCAA First Team All-American and All-Tournament team selection. This year, she is on pace to earn multiple honors again as she ranks in the top 10 in the NCCAA in scoring average, total points, rebound average, total rebounds, and field goal percentage. Boyd also averages nearly 20 points-per-game and 10 rebounds-per-game, recently setting the Eagles’ program record for the highest scoring double-double with 41 points and 15 rebounds.

After college, Boyd hopes to continue working in sports as she holds a 3.32 GPA as a business sports management major. She has been named to the Dean’s List at Pensacola Christian all five semesters she has been eligible so far, as she continues to prioritize her education along with her athletic and spiritual growth.

“I have coached 15 years at Pensacola, and Sky is the best all-around person and player that we have had here,” said Eagles Head Coach Jared Sellars. “She is a great player, but the greatest thing about her is her Christ-like character and willingness to serve others. She is a team captain and is one of the most respected Christian student-athletes we have at PCC. She reflects Christ through her consistency, integrity, and quiet confidence, making her influence both authentic and lasting.”
