#KINGCHASING STUDY PROGRAM: UNIT 11 - COMMUNITY 5/1/2026 12:00:00 AM This unit explores how faith is meant to be lived out in community, not isolation. From prioritizing consistent gathering, to creating team cultures marked by dignity and trust, to growing as a well-rounded coach, each lesson highlights the importance of relationships in spiritual formation. Coaches are reminded that who they are becoming and how they build culture are deeply connected, and that healthy community plays a vital role in both. By intentionally investing in connection - with God and with others - coaches can lead teams that reflect unity, care, and Christ-centered purpose. Unit 11 – Community Lesson One – Hazing and the Culture We Create as Coaches This article challenges coaches to examine how hazing, often disguised as tradition or team bonding, can actually undermine trust, dignity, and true unity within a team. While it promises connection, hazing often creates environments shaped by fear and power rather than respect and belonging. Coaches are invited to intentionally build a healthier culture and community. Lesson Two – Church Attendance for Christian Coaches This article invites coaches to consider how faith is not meant to be lived in isolation but within consistent, committed community. While the demands of coaching often pull us away, gathering with other believers remains essential for encouragement, formation, and staying aligned with what matters most. Just as teams need shared practices to grow and function well, coaches need regular connection to the Body of Christ to sustain their faith. Lesson Three – 4 Areas of a Well-Rounded Coach This article encourages coaches to pursue holistic growth by developing not just their athletes, but themselves across four key areas: physical, mental, spiritual, and social. A well-rounded coach leads from a place of health and intentionality, recognizing that their character and presence shape team culture as much as their strategy. By growing in all four areas, coaches can lead with greater clarity, purpose, and impact - reflecting Christ in both how they coach and who they are becoming. # # # # #
