PC: Chloe Knowles Offense Dominates on Day One of the NCCAA Baseball World Series 5/16/2026 10:53:44 PM Kansas City, MO – The first six games of the NCCAA Baseball World Series finished on Saturday, May 16, and the offenses dominated with a total of 108 runs crossing the plate. All high seeds won other than (3) Ecclesia College who fell to (6) Southwestern Christian University on a wild 11-inning 18-12 contest. Game One: #8 Nelson University American Indian College - 11, #9 Ohio Christian University - 5 Ohio Christian University wasted no time finding their offense against Nelson University American Indian College starter Nathan Simmons. After an injury delay early in the top of the first inning, the Trailblazers would see Matt Keener score on an RBI single from Ryota Haga to make it 1-0. The Trailblazers would add an additional run on a double steal later in the first inning to bring home Ryota Haga and make it 2-0 before an out was recorded. After a much stronger top of the second inning for Nathan Simmons, Ohio Christian would find another run in the third on an RBI double from Stephen Larkins to increase the lead to 3-0. Nelson American Indian found their offense in the bottom of the third inning, recording a hit by pitch and pair of singles to start the inning. Aaron Bazan would then score on a double play to cut the deficit to 3-1. An error would then allow a second run to score to bring the Warriors within one run, 3-2. Nathan Simmons went 1-2-3 top of the fourth inning for Nelson American Indian to get his offense right back to the plate. The Warriors would take advantage, earning their first lead of the game on a two RBI single from Josue Franco Jr. The two sides would then trade the lead back and forth. Ohio Christian took it right back in the top of the fifth. A Karson Runk RBI single put the Trailblazers in front 5-4 and ended Nathan Simmons effort on the mound. Nelson American Indian tied the game back up as Ethan Gustafson led off the bottom of the fifth inning with a home run that just cleared the wall. Later in the inning the Warriors regained the lead 7-5 on a Shae Doree two RBI double. After a pitching change in the fifth inning, Josue Franco Jr. would record a sacrifice fly to make it 8-5 Warriors going into the sixth. The walks began to cause problems for the Ohio Christian pitching staff as the seventh Nelson batter drew a walk in the sixth inning. A balk later in the inning allowed the Warriors to score their ninth run of the game and increase their lead to 9-5. Nelson American Indian College continued to advance their lead in the bottom of the seventh, as Sam Hess hit a two-run home run to increase the lead to 11-5. Matthew Schulz would pitch the final three innings for the Warriors without allowing an earned run to give the eight seed Nelson University American Indian College the 11-5 victory over Ohio Christian University. Game Two: #7 Toccoa Falls College - 19, #10 Kansas Christian College – 3 (in 7) Toccoa Falls College highlighted the beginning of game two of the NCCAA Baseball World Series, as Peyton Powell hit a solo home run to open the contest. Later in the bottom of the first inning, the Screaming Eagles would score a second run on an RBI double from Branson Dykes and a sacrifice fly from Connor Merritt to make it 3-0. A Nick Eckert RBI single would make it 4-0 before Kansas Christian College starter Tommy Thomas would be relieved after recording just two outs. Corbin Sprague would come in to get the final out of the first for the Falcons after two more runs scored for Toccoa Falls. Once again Kansas Christian would have to go to the bullpen in the bottom of the second inning after the bases would be loaded with just one out. Jesus Roman would be the next man up to try and limit the damage and keep it at a 6-0 deficit. The Toccoa Falls offense continued to roll, highlighting the second inning with a three-run home run from Aiden Dumas. The Screaming Eagles scored five more in the second inning to balloon their lead to 11-0. Nick Eckert added more insurance for Toccoa Falls with a two RBI single in the third inning to make the lead 13. Eckert recorded his third and fourth RBI of the day with the hit. Kansas Christian would find insurance runs in the top of the fourth, scoring three runs to make it a 10-run game. Connor Taylor hit a two RBI double to highlight the offense as the score moved to 13-3. Toccoa Falls would continue their run of scoring in every inning. The Screaming Eagles added a run in the fourth and two in the fifth to bring their lead back to 13, 16-3. The Screaming Eagles would make substitutions in the sixth inning to allow more hitters the opportunity to tally an at-bat. They added three more runs to go on and earn the 19-3 run rule victory. Game Three: #6 Southwestern Christian University – 18, #3 Ecclesia College – 12 (in 11) After a scoreless first inning, Southwestern Christian University would strike first with a long ball. Royce Florenzano led off the second inning with a home run to right field that would put the Eagles in front 1-0. Southwestern Christian would add a second run in the third inning after a Dario Paredes RBI single scored Nate Anderston. Eagles starter Mozart Duarte would load the bases in the bottom of the third inning. He was able to get out of it with a crucial strikeout to keep Ecclesia College scoreless as Southwestern Christian held a 2-0 lead. Ecclesia starter Damion Bridgeman started to settle in after giving up a run in the second and third inning. Pitching to contact, Bridgeman would allow three hits over the next two innings but hold the Eagles scoreless. The Royals would break the scoring drought in the bottom of the fifth inning, finally getting to the Southwestern Christian starter. CJ Price would draw a bases loaded walk for Ecclesia’s first run before Clay Fisher hit a bases clearing three RBI double to instantly put the Royals in front 4-2. In the bottom of the sixth, Keenan Hunter would hit a two-run home run to right center against the Southwestern Christian bullpen to move the Ecclesia lead to four, 6-2. Southwestern Christian responded right away as Dario Paredes hit a three-run home run in the top of the seventh just over the wall in right field to bring the deficit to one, 6-5. The Paredes bomb was his second hit of the day and fourth RBI of the game to lead all players. With two outs in the top of the seventh, Southwestern Christian would see a double down the line from Elvis Rojas that would score Aiden O’Malley to tie the game at six. In the top of the eighth inning the Dario Paredes show continued with two outs. The Eagles star hitter would record his fifth RBI of the game on an RBI double down the left field line to give Southwestern Christian the lead back, 7-6. In the very next at-bat of the top of the eighth inning, Royce Florenzano would hit a two-run home run, his second bomb of the game, to elevate the Southwestern Christian lead to three, 9-6. The lead would not last as once again Ecclesia would come back finding three runs on Southwestern Christian reliever Frangely Morel. Keenan Hunter and Diego Canuelas each hit a sacrifice fly, and Tucker Bradley added an RBI single to tie the game at nine. In the ninth, both sides went down 1-2-3 at the plate to force extra innings. The Dario Parades and Royce Florenzano duo once again caused damage for Southwestern Christian in extra innings. After an RBI double for Paredes, Florenzano hit his third home run of the game to put the Eagles in front 12-9. The duo combined for 11 of the teams 12 RBI in the game. Just as they have all game though, Ecclesia responded in the bottom of the 10th with three runs of their own to tie the game at 12 and bring it to the 11th. Once again Southwestern Christian would take the lead in the top of the 11th. Dario Paredes added his seventh RBI of the day as the Eagles added six this time to lead 18-12. Jackson Robertson returned for his third inning of work and was able to secure the 18-12 victory for Southwestern Christian to advance in the winner’s bracket. Game Four: #4 Judson University – 7, #5 College of the Ozarks - 2 Both teams saw an error defensively in the first inning, but it would be Judson University who would take advantage. The Eagles saw Alijah Acevedo hit a deep home run to center field to put Judson in front 2-0. Judson starter Owen Wanner would pitch to contact and find a ton of early success, highlighting his scoreless first three innings with a three-pitch top of the third to hold the Eagles 2-0 advantage. Ozarks starter George Reynolds was forced right back to the mound with little rest, and Judson would take advantage. Three straight singles would load the bases before Alijah Acevedo would score on a sacrifice fly and Allan Navarro scored on a double steal. The Eagles moved their lead to 4-0. Walks started to become an issue for both starting pitchers, but both sides would navigate through it, keeping the score at 4-0 through four innings of play. In the top of the fifth, College of the Ozarks would get their first hits and run of the game. Chase Robertson doubled to break up the no-hitter and later scored on a Hunter Lewis RBI single to make it 4-1. The same trio that tallied hits in the fifth would record hits in the seventh for Ozarks to get one run closer. This time Aaron Fisher hit an RBI single to score Jace Rodgers to make it a 4-2 game. Judson would respond with an insurance run in the bottom of the seventh inning. Diego Munoz hit an RBI single to score Austin Stone and end the outing for Ozarks starter George Reynolds. More insurance runs would come in the bottom of the eighth for the Eagles, stretching their lead to the largest of the game at 7-2 on an Alex Wickett two RBI single. Jacob Skinner would record the final four outs for Judson to prevent any final comeback effort from the Bobcats. The four-seed Judson would win their first game of the NCCAA Baseball World Series 7-2 over College of the Ozarks. Game Five: #2 Mission University - 9, #7 Toccoa Falls College - 7 The red hot Toccoa Falls College wasted no time in their second game of the day. After a pair of walks and a Peyton Powell double, the Screaming Eagles would score on a wild pitch to make it 1-0 in the top of the first inning. Toccoa Falls was not done in the first inning, scoring a second run on a Connor Merritt RBI single. The Screaming Eagles would make it eight straight innings to open the NCCAA Baseball World Series with a run scored. Toccoa Falls would make it nine straight innings where at least one run would cross the plate as they continued to pour it on against the two-seed Mission University. Peyton Powell highlighted the second inning with his second double of the game to bring home two runs. Through one and a half innings, Toccoa Falls would lead 5-0. Starter Ayden Garmon could not get through the second inning like he did the first as Mission University responded with a trio of runs. A walk, wild pitch, and fielder’s choice would allow the Patriots to cut the deficit to 5-3. Mission’s Ian Brown became the first pitcher on the day to hold Toccoa Falls scoreless for an inning, striking out the side in the top of the third inning. The Patriot offense erupted in the bottom of the third inning to take the lead. Drew Vaughn and Zachary Beatty each recorded two RBI singles to help Mission go in front 8-5. Mission would walk three batters in the top of the fourth to allow Toccoa Falls to get a run back. Will Miller scored for the Screaming Eagles to bring the deficit to 8-6. Cole Smith added an RBI single to cut the deficit to one before Mission was able to get out of the inning. The Patriots got a run right back in the bottom of the fourth inning after Clay Palen and Carter Vienhage each doubled. Mission would go back in front 9-7 going into the fifth. The pitching of Toccoa Falls Hunter Tatum and Mission’s Ryan Congemo would settle the offensive output. The duo kept the game scoreless for the fifth and sixth innings. In the seventh, Mission nearly scored a 10th run on a Collin Miser single, but the runner would be out at the plate. The two sides continued to stifle the scoring as the score remained 9-7. Trey Mulholland came in the ninth for Mission to pitch attempting to earn the save. He would sit Toccoa Falls down 1-2-3 to give the Patriots a win in their first game of the NCCAA Baseball World Series, 9-7. Game Six: #1 University of Fort Lauderdale - 14, #8 Nelson University American Indian College – 1 (In 7) One of the best offenses in the NCCAA got started early, as the University of Fort Lauderdale scored two runs in the first inning. Brady Jackson and Rolando Lujo each hit RBI doubles to put the Eagles on top 2-0. First time through the batting order Fort Lauderdale recorded five hits. In the bottom of the second inning Michael Schleider tallied an RBI single to increase the Eagles edge to 3-0. In the top of the fourth Cameron Hillery continued his dominant start for Fort Lauderdale with his first 1-2-3 inning of the day to hold his team’s 3-0 advantage. Nelson University American Indian College took advantage of Fort Lauderdale’s second error of the game to score their first run on a sacrifice fly. After an error by the Warriors that extended the bottom of the fifth inning, Fort Lauderdale would blow open the game scoring six runs with two outs. The scoring was highlighted by a bases clearing triple from Bennett Clement to bring the lead to 9-1. Nelson American Indian had no answer for the Fort Lauderdale offense and speed. The Eagles scored five more times in the bottom of the sixth, including a pair of home runs, to have a chance to end the game on run rule in the seventh. Cameron Hillery would return for the seventh in Fort Lauderdale and get through it to help the Eagles earn the 14-1 run rule victory to advance in the NCCAA Baseball World Series winner’s bracket. The double-elimination World Series will continue play on Monday, May 18 at 11 a.m. CT with a pair of elimination games. Action will be followed with four additional games at 2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. CT.
