NCCAA Celebrates Second Annual #KingChasing Day 9/30/2026 10:41:58 AM GREENVILLE, S.C. – On Monday, September 21, the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) held its second annual #KingChasing Day, encouraging student-athletes, coaches, and staff at its member institutions to participate in a day of prayer and service in their community. A total of 28 different NCCAA member schools participated in the event, helping with several projects including beautification and cleanup efforts on their campus and in the city, volunteering at nursing homes, elementary schools, children’s hospitals, and food banks, writing encouraging notes to campus staff, and prayer walks around campus and in their community. "We got to help clean the men's locker room, and serve our great housekeeper, Ms. Anita Jennings. It doesn't sound like fun, but cleaning together was honestly very enjoyable, and I liked seeing the progress we made by the end of it! I'm thankful we got to participate in #KingChasing Day as a team!" – Selah Gregory, Senior, Emmaus University Women’s Volleyball "Participating in #KingChasing Day was a great opportunity to serve our campus community. It reminded me that even small acts of service can make a difference! As a student-athlete, I’m grateful for opportunities like this that allow us to use our time and talents to serve others and our campus.” - Henry Kropp, Senior, Kuyper College Men’s Basketball “Participating in #KingChasing Day was a rewarding experience. It allowed us to break up our busy routines and give some time helping and serving others. It was an amazing opportunity that reminded us that a small act in our eyes can have a huge impact on someone else. It reinforced the mindset of servant leadership, putting others before ourselves by setting out time to help and pray for the people around us.” - Alex Nimmo, Junior, College of the Ozarks Baseball "Working with Lifeline Christian Mission to pack meals that are going to be sent to Kenya was a sweet reminder that playing at Ohio Christian is about using our gifts and abilities to bring God glory. It was such a sweet afternoon getting to use our abilities to serve a village in Kenya with my teammates and the other athletes at OCU on #KingChasing Day!" – Hannah Skaggs, Senior, Ohio Christian University Women’s Volleyball The #KingChasing program uses the four values of the Game Plan 4 LIFE – Love, Integrity, Faith, and Excellence – to enhance the purpose of collegiate athletics to be more than winning championships. The mission of the #KingChasing program is to keep Christ at the center of the student-athlete experience.
