Paul Putz is the Assistant Director of the Faith & Sports Institute at Baylor University's Truett Theological Seminary. Paul holds a Ph.D. in history from Baylor, and he researches and writes about the connections between sports and Christianity in American culture. Along with his academic publications, his writing has appeared at Christianity Today, Religion & Politics, Slate, Religion News Service, and more. His research has also been featured in stories at The Atlantic, Sports Illustrated, and The Ringer, and also in two episodes of NPR's "Only A Game" radio program.
