2019 Annual Convention Speaker Dr. Duane Aagaard currently lives in Concord, NC and teaches at Catawba College where he seeks to raise up the next generation of sport leaders to use sport for its transformational value. Prior to his time at Catawba he spent five years on faculty at Pfeiffer University and a decade as Athletic Director at Southeastern University. He has published with the Institute for Sport, Spirituality, and Character Development, Journal of Issues in Intercollegiate Athletics, and presented at the Sports in Society Conference and Conference on Sport & Values. He recently celebrated his 15th anniversary (Katie) and the couple has three children (Peyton 10, Autumn 7, and Weston 2).
