Randall University Captures Third Straight DII Men's Basketball National Championship

Greenville, SC:  Randall University claimed its third-straight and fifth overall (DIIA: 1999, 2002; DII: 2016, 2017) NCCAA DII Men’s Basketball National Championship as they beat No. 2 Bob Jones University by the score of 86-84. Trey Sneed led the way for the Saints with 30 points and 7 rebounds, while Xavier Hunter had 17 points and Antonio Wilson finished with 16 points.
 
Randall battled for a tough 78-77 win in the first round over No. 8 seeded Kentucky Christian University. Kashus Lyons led the Saints with 24 points and 9 rebounds, while Trey Sneed added 19 points and 10 rebounds. The Saints then
faced the No. 4 Johnson University Tennessee Royals in the semifinals. The Saints defeated the Royals 95-88 in overtime, and were led by Trey Sneed who finished with 29 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists. Antonio Wilson added 20 points and 6 assists, while Isaac Bowles finished with 9 points and 15 rebounds in the win.
 
Randall's Trey Sneed was named Tournament Most Outstanding Player as he averaged 26 points and 9 rebounds
