Bob Jones Takes Home Ninth Straight NCCAA DII Men’s Cross Country National Championship

Warsaw, IN – For the ninth year in a row, Bob Jones University men’s cross country earned a national championship, winning the 2024 NCCAA DII Men’s Cross Country National Championship on Friday, November 15.
 
The Bruins were paced by Evan Seaman, who finished fourth with a time of 27:43.40. Teammate Trenton Goldsmith finished seventh with a time of 28:22.50. Bob Jones finished with a score of 42 points, beating out Emmaus University who finished second with 72 points. Crown College finished third with 82 points.
 
Highlights
  • Jedidiah Osgood of Ozark Christian College was the individual champion for the second year in a row, taking the championship with a time of 26:27.00.
  • Ethan Kruiseelbrink of Redeemer University finished third with a time of 27:24.00 to be the top individual qualifier. He is the first NCCAA DII Men’s Cross Country All-American for the Royals.
  • Austin Carlson of Crown finished second with a time of 27:15.70. His teammate Andrew Deedon picked up a fifth-place finish at 27:58.40. 
  • Theo Thurber of Trinity Bible College also earned All-American honors with a time of 28:28.80 and a ninth-place finish.
  • A total of eight different schools are represented in the All-American honors, including Raigan Stec of Boyce College (sixth-place – 28:13.00), Shem Abdnour of Maranatha Baptist University (eighth-place – 28:27.10), and Matthew Hanselman from Emmaus (tenth-place – 28:39.10).
  • Ken Roach earned Coach of the Year honors. It is the fourth straight year that he has won the honor.
