CEDARVILLE, O.H. – For the second straight season,
Campbellsville University takes home the NCCAA Men’s Indoor Track & Field National Championship, winning their second title in program history on Saturday, February 10.
The Tigers earned first place finishes in six out of the 19 scored events to earn 197.50 points, finishing ahead of host
Cedarville University who finished second with 147 points, while
Malone University finished third with 88 points.
Campbellsville took first place in the heptathlon, 5000-meter run, high jump, long jump, triple jump, and the 200-meter dash. The Tigers also finished second in the 4x800 relay and 60-meter dash. For their efforts, the Cambpellsville staff earned Coaching Staff of the Year.
Issac Kiprop of Campbellsville was named Men's Track Athlete of the Meet. Kiprop won the event championship in the 3000-meter run with a time of 15:14.30 and finished third in the 3000-meter run. His teammate CamRon Hamby earned Men's Field Athlete of the Meet honors. Hamby won the high jump championship with a clearance of 2.07 meters and picked up second-place finishes in the long jump and triple jump as he scored 26 points this weekend for the Tigers.
David Entz of Cedarville set a new facility record in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.06 seconds, breaking the old mark of 8.15 seconds set in 2021.
