Greenville, SC – The NCCAA is pleased to recognize Emmy Colin of Ozark Christian College as the 2025 Dr. Marti MacCullough Award recipient for Division II Women’s Basketball.

35773Colin is a student-athlete that despite growing up in a Christian home came to Ozark Christian primarily with one thing in mind, basketball. Basketball was her life until an injury shifted Colin’s mindset back to Christ as the most important thing in her life. Recognizing that basketball is a gift from the Lord, Colin has made it her goal to be the same person on and off the court with a focus of love. She serves at a local school where she eats lunch with the students and is a third-grade girls volunteer basketball coach. She regularly shares the love of Christ through the sport of basketball to the next generation. Colin has also been to Poland on a mission trip to share the love of Christ, and mentors three high school girls organizing devotions, prayer, and service projects with them.

On the court, Colin has been an outstanding athlete earning 2024 NCCAA All-American honors. She is also two-time NCCAA All-Regional player, three-time All-Conference player, and was named Most Valuable Player in the Midwest Christian College Conference (MCCC) in 2024. In 2024-25, Colin is averaging a career best in points, assists, and rebounds to help Ozark Christian to a fifth consecutive winning season. She also ranks top five in the NCCAA in free throw percentage, assists, and assist/turnover ratio in 2024-25.

Colin holds a 3.9 GPA as an interdisciplinary studies major at Ozark Christian and is a two-time NCCAA Scholar-Athlete and five-time Dean’s List winner.

“Not only does Emmy make our team better at basketball and closer to Jesus, she also daily challenges me in my walk with Christ,” said Ozark Christian Head Women’s Basketball Coach Kyle Wicklund. “If you have interacted with Emmy, you just know that making Jesus known is her priority. I believe she is what this award and what a student-athlete is supposed to represent.”
