GREENVILLE, S.C. – The #KingChasing Podcast has released the sixth episode of its fourth season, as NCCAA Communications Coordinator Richard Martin interviews Josh Lindblom and Michael Maiocco, founders of Congruency. 

Lindblom is a former Major League Baseball pitcher, being drafted in the second round of the 2008 MLB draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers, and seeing time in the majors with the Dodgers, Philadelphia Phillies, Texas Rangers, Oakland Athletics, and Milwaukee Brewers. Lindblom also played in the South Korean KBO League for the Lotte Giants and the Doosan Bears, earning the 2019 KBO MVP Award after going 20-3 with a 2.50 ERA and 189 strikeouts over 194.2 innings with Doosan.

Maiocco is a former pitcher for Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida, where he finished his collegiate career with a 21-10 record, 203 strikeouts, and pitched a pair of complete games for the Saints in 203.1 innings of work. Maiocco also had a short stint with the Florence Freedom of the Frontier League in 2017 and coached the Israel U-18 baseball team at the 2021 U-18 European Baseball Championship in Macerata, Italy.

Lindblom and Maiocco have started Congruency, which focuses on enhancing mental and emotional skills for teenage and professional athletes, parents, coaches, and organizations, providing strategies to support mental and emotional well-being. For more information on Congruency, click here.

In this episode, Lindblom and Maiocco discuss their playing careers, their feelings of being lost after seeing their careers end in different ways, how they met and started Congruency, and how their faith has shaped them throughout baseball and life.
