Greenville, SC – The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) is pleased to announce Mackenzie Moretina as the newest addition to the staff, stepping in as Administrative Assistant. Moretina will be introduced in her role at the Welcome Reception of the NCCAA Convention on May 26, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency in Greenville, South Carolina. 
 
“We welcome Mackenzie to our staff as another person called to serve via the NCCAA,” said NCCAA Executive Director Dan Wood. “Her experience as a student-athlete and in events will be beneficial to her being able to help in all areas of our association.”
 
Moretina comes to the NCCAA after most recently serving at NewSpring Church as an Events Intern for the last year. While working at the church, Moretina also is finishing her Bachelor of Science in Communications from Western Governor’s State University.
 
When asked about the position, Moretina stated “God calls us to be passionate about what we do, not to do what we’re passionate about. I am just blessed enough to be in a spot where I get the best of both worlds. I am a big believer in Colossians 3:23, ‘Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.'”
 
Outside of work, Moretina is passionate about fitness as she is an active runner and wake surfer. She holds certifications in nutrition coaching and personal training. She also served as a personal trainer from December 2024 through December 2025.
