NCCAA To Hold Second Annual Play of the Year Competition 6/12/2026 12:00:00 AM WATCH: NCCAA Play of the Year Nominees - 2025-26 Greenville, S.C. – After completing the second year of the NCCAA Plays of the Month, the NCCAA has announced the second annual Play of the Year voting contest to be held on the association’s Instagram and Twitter/X pages from June 15-July 15, 2026. Last year was the first NCCAA Plays of the Year contest, which was won by Antoine Brown of Regent University for his game-winning three-point heave in January 2025. Over 3,000 combined total votes were cast during the entire tournament on the NCCAA Instagram and X pages. All nine plays selected as the top play each month will be entered into the voting contest, along with four other plays that did not quite take the top spot. Those four will be from the monthly videos from the past year that will face off against each other in a Fan Vote contest, with voting being held June 15-17. The winner of the Fan Vote will be announced on June 18 and will enter the first-round play-in section, with voting beginning on June 22-24, and the winners being announced on June 25. The top eight remaining plays will then face off June 29-July 1, with the semifinalists being announced on July 2. Those four plays will go head-to-head July 6-8, with the winners being announced July 9. The final two plays will match up July 13-15, and the NCCAA Play of the Year will be announced on July 16. Winning plays will be selected by combined voting percentage taking from polls on the official NCCAA Instagram and Twitter/X pages.
