Greenville, SC – After two successful years as an invitational, the NCCAA Division II Baseball World Series will return for the first time since 2013 and be hosted by Arlington Baptist University (ABU) at Lon Goldstein Field in Fort Worth/Arlington, Texas. The World Series will be a four-team double-elimination tournament that will take place for the first time in over a decade on May 19-21, 2027. The NCCAA and Arlington Baptist University have agreed to a three-year contract, putting the Division II Baseball World Series in Texas through the 2028-29 academic year. 
 
"Arlington Baptist University and their athletic staff have proven their ability to be selected as the host for the 2027, 2028, and 2029 NCCAA Division II Baseball World Series after hosting the last two years of the invitational event," stated NCCAA Executive Director Dan Wood. "We are thrilled to have their support in bringing this renewed championship back to the NCCAA calendar and look forward to a great experience for all involved."
 
Lon Goldstein Field is a natural grass field that for a single season was the home to the Fort Worth Cats, a professional baseball program in the All-American Association. The stadium has a capacity of 2000 and features dimensions of 340 feet down the lines and 380 feet to center field.

ABU Athletic Director Larry Tidwell added, “Hosting the NCCAA Division II Baseball World Series is a huge accomplishment for our coaching staff, and our baseball student-athletes after successful national invitationals in 2025 and 2026. The World Series will allow us to elevate the athletic experience for our students as we continue to gain national recognition. We are proud to host the World Series and provide a first-class experience for student-athletes, their families, and the greater Arlington community.” 
 
NCCAA Division II Baseball will be comprised of three regions, with each region having a chance to earn an automatic berth to the World Series through regional play or power ratings. The representatives from each region will be joined by the host Arlington Baptist to comprise the four-team championship. There will be no at-large bids in the NCCAA Division II Baseball World Series. 
 
After over a decade break from the sport meeting the requirements to achieve championship status, Division II Baseball has seen the necessary growth to return to a World Series. ABU Head Baseball Coach Brad Bass stated, “I am so thankful to all who have made the dream of the NCCAA Division II Baseball World Series become a reality. Jesus will be glorified as we love, serve, and care for all participants on and off the field.”
