Becoming an NCCAA #KingChasing Institution in 2026-27 8/6/2026 10:34:06 AM Greenville, SC – The NCCAA continues to center the organizational mission of keeping Christ at the center of intercollegiate athletics around #KingChasing. One of the primary ways to join the NCCAA in this effort as a member, is to pursue becoming an NCCAA #KingChasing Institution. Two specific programs in which members are encouraged to participate are the #KingChasing Study Program and #KingChasing Day. These opportunities partner alongside the four values of the Game Plan 4 LIFE – Love, Integrity, Faith, and Excellence to provide institutions the opportunity to earn points through specific participation in activities that help them to become a #KingChasing Institution. The #KingChasing Institution program is entering its sixth year of existence. NCCAA member schools earn #KingChasing Institution status by earning 105 points out of the 150 possible (additional 20 bonus points possible) outlined in the #KingChasing Institution Point System. The top three point-earning institutions will be finalists for the award with the NCCAA Administration Committee selecting the #KingChasing Institution of the Year, which is announced at the NCCAA Annual Convention in early June. The Institution of the Year and finalists all receive funds from the #KingChasing Scholarship, sponsored by Slingshot, and the Sports Ministry Fund as outlined below: #KingChasing Institution of the Year $10,000 – #KingChasing Scholarship Intended for assisting any student in a ministry-related major. $2,000 – Sports Ministry Fund Intended to be used for institutional Christian outreach. #KingChasing Finalists (2) $5,000 – #KingChasing Scholarship Intended for assisting any student in a ministry-related major. $1,000 – Sports Ministry Fund Intended to be used for institutional Christian outreach.
