Congratulations to Azusa Pacific University the 2013 NCCAA Women's Soccer Division I National Champions! The Cougars defeated Dallas Baptist University 2-1 in the Championship match Saturday, December 7, 2013. The match went into overtime after a 1-1 draw in regulation time. Azusa Pacific sophomore midfielder Mayra Almazan scored the overtime golden goal to win the 2013 Title match.

Azusa Pacific coming in as the #5 seed defeated Houghton College 2-1 and Trinity Christian College 3-0 out of pool play. The Cougars were seeded out of Pool B as the #2 seed playing #3 Point Loma Nazarene University in the semifinals. Azusa Pacific defeated the Sea Lions of Point Loma 2 - 0 to advance to the Finals where they again found victory.

Awarded the 2013 Most Outstanding Player of the Championship was senior defender Danielle Ross from Azusa Pacific University. The 2013 Most Outstanding Defensive Player of the Championship was junior midfielder Lea Sedwick from Dallas Baptist University. The 2013 Most Outstanding Offensive Player of the Championship was sophomore midfielder Mayra Almazan from Azusa Pacific University.

The 2013 NISOA Sportsmanship Award of the Championship went to the runner's up Dallas Baptist University.
