OUAZ Wins First NCCAA Men’s Golf National Championship in Program History

Palm Coast, F.L. – After entering the day in second place, OUAZ used a three-under, 285 in the final round to hold off defending national champion Wayland Baptist University and win the 2025 NCCAA Men’s Golf National Championship.
 
As a group, OUAZ pulled away from the Pioneers, shooting an 11-over, 875 for the week, winning the national championship by 16 strokes. Wayland Baptist finished second with a 27-over 891, while Columbia International University finished third with a 29-over 893.
 
The Spirit were led by Grant Greazel, and Liam Toole, as both recorded third round scores under par, with Greazel picking up a two-under, 70, while Toole shot a three-under, 69. Greazel finished tied for second overall with a two-under 214, three round score, while his teammate Toole finished fourth, shooting a one-under,  215 in three rounds at the Hammock Beach Conservatory Course. 
 
Highlights
  • A day after setting an NCCAA Men’s Golf National Championship single round scoring record, Luke Hammond of Columbia International stayed hot, shooting a one-over, 31 in the final round to finish the tournament with a four-under, 212 three-round score to claim medalist honors. 
  • After shooting a five-under, 67 in the second round, Amaury Wouters of Bethel University carded a two-under, 72 to finish tied for second and earn All-American honors with a two-under, 214 three-round score.
  • Bethel’s Earl Williams recorded a one-under, 71 to finish fifth-overall with a one-over 217 for the week. Wayland Baptist’s Leonard Lebrun shot two-under, 72 in the third-round to clinch fifth overall, while DJ Norman of Cedarville University finished seventh after carding his second straight one-under, 71 for the week. 
  • Sacha Brendle finished just behind his Pioneer teammate tied for eighth overall with a six-over 222 to earn All-American accolades for the second straight season. Ryan Yoder of Malone University tied Brendle for eight, while Jakob Swanson of the University of Northwestern finished tenth, shooting a seven-over, 223 to round out the All-American award winners.
