Greenville, SC - The American Red Cross has announced 16 students who have been selected to participate in its Collegiate Leadership Program, including three from NCCAA member institutions. Congratulations to Boaz Strong (Grace College), Joshua Marr (Houghton University), and Megan Stewart (Oakland City University) on earning selections in 2026.
This program is a collaboration between the American Red Cross, the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) and the National Association for Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), designed to inspire a passionate and diverse generation of Red Cross volunteer leadership. These student-leaders are offered a rare and unique opportunity to acquire first-hand coaching, mentoring and professional leadership training presented by our senior leaders. We are also excited to continue our partnership with the NCAA. Please join me in warmly welcoming NCAA students from Albright College (Reading, PA), Houghton University (Houghton, NY), and University of Northwestern Ohio (Lima, OH) to this year's cohort. They will begin actively recruiting Red Cross blood donors on their campuses starting the fall of 2026.
This year’s leadership training will take place in June in Washington, D.C. The program allows student-leaders to give back to their school and their campus communities by becoming a Red Cross ambassador through recruiting blood donors on their college campuses. In addition, they will be given the tools to start a Red Cross Club on campus if there is not one already.
